In a move poised to transform Jaipur's retail landscape, Pacific Group, a prominent name in India's real estate sector, has announced plans to develop a state-of-the-art shopping mall and a luxury hotel in the city. This ambitious venture is set to add to the group's already impressive portfolio, which spans nine shopping malls across key cities like Delhi, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, and Dehradun.
With an unwavering belief in the growing demand for premium retail spaces in tier-II and III cities, Pacific Group is ready to broaden its footprint. The company recently acquired a sprawling 11-acre land parcel in Jaipur, where it will construct a massive shopping mall spread over 15 lakh square feet.
This monumental project, which includes both retail and hospitality components, is designed to elevate the shopping and leisure experience for Jaipur's residents and visitors. The centerpiece of the development will be the shopping mall, an expansive 15 lakh sq ft space set to cater to the rising demand for organized retail spaces.
In addition to the mall, the development will feature a luxurious hotel with 130 rooms, aimed at accommodating business and leisure travelers alike. The hotel will be operated in partnership with a leading hospitality chain, ensuring world-class service and facilities.
Pacific Group Managing Director Abhishek Bansal shared insights into the development timeline, revealing that the shopping mall is slated to open its doors by the end of 2026, while the hotel is expected to welcome its first guests by 2027. As of now, the company has already begun leasing spaces within the mall, with a focus on attracting top-tier retailers to make it a shopping hub in the region.
Pacific Group’s existing portfolio includes four major shopping malls in Delhi, two in Dehradun, two in Faridabad, and one in Ghaziabad. The company’s success in these markets has reinforced its belief in the untapped potential of smaller cities like Jaipur. The food and beverage (F&B) segment, in particular, has seen remarkable growth, contributing significantly to the success of these malls.
Looking ahead, Abhishek Bansal is optimistic about the future of organized retail in India, especially in cities that are still evolving in terms of infrastructure and consumer demand. Despite the rapid rise of e-commerce, Bansal believes that physical retail spaces will continue to thrive, thanks to their ability to offer a tactile shopping experience and foster community connections.
As Pacific Group focuses on completing its Jaipur project, Bansal remains bullish on the future of physical retail in India. He explained that once the Jaipur mall is well underway, the company will start exploring new land acquisitions for further business expansion, continuing to tap into the immense potential of growing cities across the country.
