<p>India's residential market remained resilient in Q2 2026, recording 89,161 new launches and 91,729 sales across the top eight cities. Launches moderated by 4.2% QoQ and sales declined by 4.4%, reflecting a combination of pre-monsoon seasonality, a strong Q1 base, and increased buyer caution amid geopolitical uncertainty arising from the US-Iran conflict.</p> 

<p>Sales were 6.1% lower YoY, though the comparison is against the elevated base of Q2 2025. Developer confidence remained intact, with launches up 6.0% YoY. Premium housing continued to drive market value - the sales-weighted average price rose 1.0% QoQ to ₹10,153/sq ft, staying above the ₹10,000 mark for a second consecutive quarter, reinforcing the market's shift from volume-led activity to value-led growth.</p>
