What is AAC block construction?

AAC (Autoclaved Aerated Concrete) block construction uses lightweight, precast, foam concrete blocks made from a mixture of sand or fly ash, cement, lime, water, and an aerating agent (aluminium powder). The mixture is autoclaved under steam pressure, creating millions of tiny air cells that give AAC blocks their characteristic lightweight and excellent thermal insulating properties.
