As the much-anticipated Noida International Airport nears its operational debut, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida) is ramping up efforts to shape the region’s next wave of growth. Over the past five years, Yeida has acquired approximately 5,200 acres, laying the groundwork for four new sectors that will redefine the landscape around the upcoming airport.
Yeida’s vision is bold: create a dynamic land reserve for Sectors 4A, 5, 5A, and 11, each designed to blend residential, industrial, and institutional spaces. These sectors will also host signature projects like the Japanese City, Korean City, and Fintech City—enclaves that promise a fusion of global culture and cutting-edge infrastructure.
To fuel this ambitious vision, Yeida plans to acquire an additional 5,000 acres directly from around 2,000 local farmers through mutual agreement, ensuring community participation and sustainable growth. CEO Arun Vir Singh affirms, “We’re engaging with landowners who are open to selling. So far, we’ve acquired 5,200 acres and plan to continue purchasing more.”
Both the Japanese and Korean Cities will be designed for multiple land uses, integrating industrial, residential, commercial, and institutional infrastructure. This means future residents and businesses can expect a seamless blend of housing, offices, shopping malls, hotels, and more—all within thoughtfully planned zones.
“Our vision is to create integrated urban zones that offer everything within easy reach. We’re especially focused on making Japanese nationals feel comfortable and culturally connected,” Singh adds. With the new airport set to launch soon, Yeida is moving swiftly to bring these transformative projects to life.
