Asia's largest student-run entrepreneurship organization, has garnered support from UNESCO, Make in India, Startup India, and Digital India for its role in promoting entrepreneurship. For the past 28 years, E-Cell has served as a vital link connecting different elements of the startup ecosystem.

Eureka! - Asia's Largest Business Model Competition

Eureka! is the flagship business model competition hosted by E-Cell, IIT Bombay. It is Asia's Largest Business Model Competition aimed to fast-track the journey of an innovative idea to commercial success. Eureka! prides itself on providing a 360-degree holistic experience over a 5-month period, which offers a comprehensive experience that includes personalized mentorship, opportunities for pitching and funding, exciting cash prizes, and more. Eureka! provides a wide range of support to help participants develop their ideas and bring them to market.

The event is tailored for early-stage entrepreneurs, particularly those in the ideation and MVP stage, offering one-on-one mentoring focused on developing go-to-market strategies.

Eureka! 2025 offers incentives worth INR 2 crore, 50+ venture capitalists, 300+ mentors, and opportunities to win sponsored visits to the USA to pitch in global entrepreneurship-based competitions.

With 8 tracks, the competition aims to provide founders with months of learning, networking, and sector-specific mentoring, and investment opportunities to master the key components of building a scalable business.

Tracks:

AI and DeepTech Track: This track aims to support startups building cutting-edge solutions in AI, ML, and DeepTech, driving breakthroughs across industries and solving complex real-world problems.

Energy and Sustainability Track: Fostering innovations focused on clean energy and sustainable solutions.

Cooling Solutions Track: In collaboration with a global HVAC leader, this track supports ideas in scalable and sustainable cooling.

Healthcare Track: Aiding innovations that enhance healthcare accessibility, efficiency, and technology.

Logistics and Supply Chain Management Track: This track fuels startups transforming logistics, supply chain, and mobility, driving innovation to reshape transportation and streamline distribution.

Business Track: The business track is perfect for businesses with visionary founders and revolutionary ideas from any sector.

PAN-IIT Track: A sector-agnostic track, which is the right place for startup ideas from IITs aiming to become the next unicorn.

Social Track: The social track promotes startups working at grass root levels to improve the societal conditions in various domains.

Timeline:

Registration Period (4th July – 17th August): Open for all aspiring entrepreneurs. Participants register on the Eureka! portal and submit initial startup details.

Zonals Round (5th September – 4th October): Teams are assigned dedicated mentors who guide them in refining their business model through structured methods.

Ignite Round (14th October – 20th November): Finalists selected from zonals receive exclusive one-on-one mentoring, workshops, and webinars tailored to their startup. Focused on customer validation and growth, this support prepares them thoroughly for the final pitch.

Grand Finale – E-Summit: Finalists submit their pitches, attend intensive workshops, and compete at Demo Day alongside the best startups from across Asia. This is where winners are declared, prizes awarded, and potential funding secured.

What’s In It For Startups?

Entrepreneurs will go through three intensive rounds spread over five months. The first round will feature on-stage mentoring to help founders build a robust business model, starting with the basics of creating a business model canvas.

The shortlisted startups will then enter a mentorship round with workshops designed to refine their business models and products. Founders will be judged on the viability of their ideas and their unique value propositions.

Once the finalists are selected, they will participate in a three-day accelerator program to prepare for the final stage of the competition. The final pitch will take place at IIT Bombay’s E-Summit 25, an annual business conclave in December 2025. Finalists will pitch their ventures in a closed-door event before a panel of industry experts.

The winning startups will receive prizes valued at over $120,000, including incentives from MSG91, Clevertap, GitHub, Zendesk, and many others. Investors on the jury will also have the option to provide additional funding to the participating startups.

Eureka! has expanded to six countries in the GCC region, including Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, UAE, and Saudi Arabia.

Eureka! winners get a fully-sponsored trip to Dubai for the Eureka! GCC finals, where participants will pitch their ideas to global investors.
