Arada, the Sharjah-based master developer, has received approval from the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure for its AED560 million London Place residential development in Campsie, Sydney.
The 33-storey project is the first of five developments planned by Arada in the area as part of its expansion into Australia. The project is expected to contribute to housing supply and community renewal in Campsie.
Designed by Woods Bagot, London Place will comprise 156 apartments. The project will include 18 apartments designated as affordable housing.
Construction is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2027, with completion targeted for the fourth quarter of 2029.
Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, Group CEO of Arada, said Campsie offered significant potential and that London Place represents the first of five projects planned for Sydney's Inner Southwest region.
He said Arada's Australian expansion is strategic and that the approval provides momentum for the company's broader project pipeline.
The project comes as Campsie undergoes significant urban development. The planned opening of Campsie Metro Station is expected to improve connectivity for the area.
Residents of London Place will be able to reach Sydney's central business district by metro in under 20 minutes. This will provide access to employment, cultural and lifestyle destinations across the city.

London Place was recognised as a State Significant Development by the NSW Housing Delivery Authority. This provided a streamlined planning pathway for the residential project.
The approval was secured alongside a rezoning of the site. According to Arada, the approval process was completed in under four months, compared with the Housing Delivery Authority's benchmark target of 275 days.

London Place is the first of five planned projects in the Sydney area and marks the developer's next stage of expansion in the Australian residential market.
Globally, Arada has a project pipeline valued at AED171 billion and a portfolio of more than 70,000 homes across the UAE, the United Kingdom, Australia and Syria.
The approval of London Place allows Arada to move forward with its first Sydney development while continuing to build its wider Australian residential pipeline.
