In a transformative leap for Egypt's real estate sector, the government has officially launched its first nationwide real estate platform, powered by the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) system. This groundbreaking initiative, unveiled in Cairo under the patronage of Minister of Housing and New Urban Communities Sherif El-Sherbiny and Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat, is set to redefine the market by enhancing transparency, efficiency, and credibility.
The MLS system serves as a centralized hub, bringing together real estate developers, agents, financial institutions, and government bodies. Unlike traditional databases, this platform is an integrated ecosystem that streamlines property transactions, eliminates duplication, and ensures that only verified listings are available to buyers and investors.
During the launch, Minister Sherif El-Sherbiny emphasized that urban and real estate development is a national priority, given its increasing role in the Egyptian economy. Large-scale national projects implemented in recent years have contributed significantly to the sector’s rapid expansion. He highlighted how Egyptian real estate has remained a reliable store of value for individuals and businesses alike.
"Exporting real estate requires a structured approach," El-Sherbiny stated. "The Ministry of Housing is developing a comprehensive strategy to market Egyptian real estate internationally. This includes cataloging available units, classifying them, and integrating them into a unified digital system."
This initiative aligns with Egypt's goal to attract foreign investments, create new opportunities for Egyptians living abroad, and strengthen the country's position in the global real estate market.
Ahmed El Batrawy, Chairman of E-Systematic, underscored the impact of the MLS-powered platform. He highlighted how the system will revolutionize the sector by ensuring that all property transactions are monitored, verified, and approved with the highest level of credibility.
The MLS system eliminates duplicate listings, ensuring that potential buyers and investors engage only with genuine, high-quality properties. It also refines regulations and fosters a trusted connection between professionals and consumers. Through this modernized framework, Egypt’s real estate sector is now poised to enter a new era of digital transformation.
Starting today, Egypt's real estate professionals will gain access to a vast global network of over 2 million agents and investors across the United States, Canada, Europe, and South America. This cross-border connectivity will enable seamless collaboration, property sharing, and investment opportunities on an unprecedented scale.
El Batrawy remarked, "This platform marks a major step forward for foreign investments and cross-border transactions, establishing Egypt as a key player in the international real estate market."
By integrating directly with the MLS system, the official Egyptian real estate platform ensures that all property listings are continuously updated, verified, and accurate. Fraudulent listings and unreliable transactions will be eliminated, creating a seamless and secure experience for both local and international investors.
With this pioneering initiative, Egypt is not only embracing digital innovation but also redefining trust and transparency in its real estate sector. This launch is just the beginning of a new era—one where Egypt's property market thrives as a global investment destination.
