Bollywood’s iconic ‘Dream Girl’ Hema Malini has once again made headlines—this time not for her films, but for a significant real estate move in Mumbai. In August 2025, the actress-turned-politician sold two premium apartments in Oshiwara’s upscale Oberoi Springs complex, fetching a total of Rs 12.50 crore.
According to official documents from the Inspector General of Registration (IGR), each of the two identical apartments carried a price tag of Rs 6.25 crore. Both homes offered a carpet area of 847 sq ft (around 79 sq m) and a built-up area of 1,017 sq ft (94.46 sq m). Each transaction also included one designated car parking space, with stamp duty of Rs 31.25 lakh and registration charges of Rs 30,000.
The location of these apartments adds to their allure. Andheri West is celebrated for its vibrant mix of luxury housing, entertainment hubs, and lifestyle avenues. The locality offers seamless connectivity through the Western Express Highway, SV Road, the suburban rail network, and the Versova-Ghatkopar Metro corridor—ensuring quick access to Mumbai’s key business districts like BKC, Goregaon, and Andheri East.
With high-rise towers, premium societies, and excellent social infrastructure, Andheri West remains one of Mumbai’s most coveted real estate markets for homebuyers and investors alike.
Beyond property transactions, Hema Malini continues to be an enduring cultural icon. She made her film debut in 1963 and rose to stardom with the 1968 release Sapno Ka Saudagar. Known as the industry’s beloved ‘Dream Girl,’ she reigned over Hindi cinema in the 1970s and 1980s. An accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer, she has performed worldwide and later transitioned into public service as a Member of Parliament from Mathura.
Her recent real estate deal underscores not just her financial acumen but also shines a light on the timeless allure of Andheri West’s property market.
