The Urban Development Fund (UDF) has recorded sales worth EGP 6bn since the beginning of 2026. The fund is targeting an additional EGP 3bn in sales by the end of the year, according to UDF Chairperson Khaled Seddik.
Speaking on the sidelines of a conference, Seddik also said the fund is targeting the delivery of around 10,000 housing units in 2027. The plan is part of efforts to accelerate construction and handover rates across the fund's projects.
The fund is currently preparing the second phase of its land offering. This phase will include around 14 plots ranging in size from two to five feddans.
The offering will also include other land parcels. These include a 185-feddan plot in Kafr El-Sheikh and another plot in Mahalla, according to Seddik.
UDF currently has a portfolio of 24 projects across 13 governorates. The fund is working to speed up implementation and delivery across the portfolio.
Seddik said a significant portion of infrastructure and utility connections for the projects has been completed. The progress is supporting the fund's efforts to accelerate construction and handovers.
In Downtown Cairo, the El-Shorbagy Hotel has completed the process of assigning its management to a company. The hotel comprises 36 units.
The Fustat project includes around 450 hotel units and 158 serviced apartments. First handovers at Fustat View are targeted for early 2027.
Seddik said the fund is currently addressing challenges that affected parts of the Fustat project. Customers affected by delays in some buildings are being offered alternatives, including transfers to other available units within the project or full refunds without deductions.
