In a powerful move against fraudulent practices in the real estate sector, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken decisive action against the Ansal Group. Addressing the state assembly during a budget discussion, he emphasized that his government will not tolerate any misconduct that exploits homebuyers.
During his speech, Yogi Adityanath launched a strong critique of the Samajwadi Party (SP), accusing it of enabling fraudulent builders like Ansal API during its tenure. He stated that while past governments merely signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), they failed to implement them effectively. His government, however, is determined to ensure justice for homebuyers.
“No one should think they can escape after taking money from the common man and the poor. We will track them down even from the depths of hell,” he declared.
Taking cognizance of the fraudulent activities in Lucknow, CM Yogi Adityanath directed officials to register an FIR against the Ansal Group. He stressed that all illegal dealings by the company will be met with strict legal consequences.
His government has vowed to seize all properties involved in deception and ensure that homebuyers get their due justice.
“Ansal was your creation,” he remarked, pointing towards the opposition. “Under your government, builders were given unchecked power. We have now tightened the noose, ensuring no homebuyer is deceived.”
Following his strong stance, the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) initiated insolvency proceedings against the company. Yogi Adityanath has further instructed the authorities to file FIRs in all districts where similar fraudulent cases against the Ansal Group have emerged.
Additionally, he has ordered the formation of a special committee comprising the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) and aggrieved homebuyers. This committee aims to gather solid evidence and facilitate strict legal action against the company, ensuring swift justice.
This latest move reaffirms Yogi Adityanath’s commitment to protecting homebuyers from fraud. His government is determined to hold builders accountable, prevent exploitation, and ensure that those affected by fraudulent dealings receive their rightful compensation.
“If anyone thinks they can take a poor man's money and flee, we will bring them back and make sure they are punished,” Yogi Adityanath assured.
With strict measures now in place, homebuyers in Uttar Pradesh can look forward to greater security and fairness in the real estate sector.
