The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has recorded strong housing sales in the first quarter of FY 2026-27, driven by robust demand for housing across all categories. DDA sold 1,284 flats during the quarter while generating Rs 1,020 crore in revenue, according to an official release, marking what the authority described as clear evidence of growing public confidence in its housing schemes.
Sub-city Narela emerged as the biggest contributor to this success, with 1,153 flats sold during the quarter accounting for nearly 90 per cent of total sales. This underscores Narela's growing attractiveness as a preferred residential destination, a shift being supported by DDA's continuous infrastructure development efforts, including the Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II) and the upcoming Rithala-Narela-Kundli Metro corridor, both of which are significantly improving connectivity to the area.
The Rs 1,020 crore in Q1 FY27 revenue marks a significant increase over the corresponding period of FY 2025-26, when DDA generated Rs 462 crore more than double the revenue realised a year earlier. Officials attributed the continued momentum to the Lieutenant Governor's sustained focus on re-imagining DDA's Sub-Cities.

The sales were achieved through DDA's ongoing housing schemes, namely DDA Karmayogi Awaas Yojana, DDA Nagrik Awaas Yojana, and DDA Towering Heights, East Delhi Hub, Karkardooma (first-come-first-served basis), offering housing options across different income groups. These schemes have been extended until July 31, 2026, on a first-come-first-served basis. Since the schemes are fully online, buyers can purchase flats from home, with the units offered as freehold and ready-to-move, and sample flats available to help buyers make informed decisions.
The sharp jump in both flats sold and revenue generated points to renewed buyer confidence in DDA's housing inventory, particularly in emerging sub-cities like Narela that are benefiting from major infrastructure upgrades. As connectivity projects such as the Rithala-Narela-Kundli Metro corridor progress, DDA's strong Q1 performance suggests continued momentum for affordable and mid-income housing demand across Delhi in the quarters ahead.
