Aldar has announced more than AED 5 billion in sales across the launches of Talay and Yas Riva Reserve in Abu Dhabi. The announcement comes as Abu Dhabi hosts the inaugural Liveability and Investment Exhibition, or LIVEX 2026.
The sales performance reflects continued demand for residential developments in Abu Dhabi and growing interest in waterfront communities on Saadiyat and Yas Islands.
Talay is the first residential community within Marsa Al Saadiyat. Yas Riva Reserve is a new gated waterfront community located to the northeast of Yas Island.
Both developments are designed around family living. They feature landscaped open spaces and a strong connection to the waterfront. The communities are planned to support contemporary lifestyles and provide residents with access to waterfront living.
First-time Aldar customers accounted for 54% of buyers across the two developments. UAE nationals represented 31% of the buyer base, while expatriate residents and overseas buyers accounted for 69% of sales.
Buyers from the UAE, UK, Russia, Jordan and India were among the leading nationalities by sales volume. Female buyers represented 30% of sales, while male buyers accounted for 70%. Buyers under the age of 45 represented 55% of the total.
Talay is located at the heart of Marsa Al Saadiyat. The waterfront destination is valued at AED 100 billion and forms the final phase of Saadiyat Island's masterplan.
Marsa Al Saadiyat is planned to ultimately become home to more than 58,000 residents. Talay adds a residential component to the destination as the wider area continues to develop.
Yas Riva Reserve offers a gated waterfront setting in the northeast of Yas Island. The community is designed to provide privacy and tranquillity while maintaining connections to Yas Island's destinations and amenities.
A new bridge will provide an additional entry point to Yas Island and connect Yas Riva Reserve with the wider destination.
Jonathan Emery, Chief Executive Officer of Aldar Development, said the sales performance reflects continued demand from UAE nationals, residents and international buyers.
He also said Abu Dhabi is strengthening its position as a place to live, invest and build for the long term, supported by its quality of life and vision for sustainable growth.
The launch performance of Talay and Yas Riva Reserve comes as LIVEX 2026 brings attention to the relationship between liveability, investment and long-term economic and social value in Abu Dhabi.
