Bachchan's growing real estate footprint in Ayodhya

Bachchan has also expanded his real estate investments beyond Mumbai.

Ayodhya, which has emerged as a major religious tourism and investment destination, has been a particular focus.

At the HT Real Estate Summit, Abhinandan Lodha, founder and CMD of The House of Abhinandan Lodha, recalled how Bachchan had personally contacted him about buying land in Ayodhya.

Lodha said he received the call around 3 am, while he was in Australia.

In March 2026, Bachchan expanded his Ayodhya footprint further. He purchased a 2.67-acre land parcel for Rs 35 crore from The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL), the company said on March 6.

The purchase marked his third investment in Ayodhya with the developer.

Taken together, his recent moves in Mumbai and Ayodhya show a pattern of continued activity across both commercial leasing and land acquisition.
