Dubai-born AVENEW Development has announced plans for The Ritz-Carlton Residences Dubai, The World Islands, the latest addition to its growing portfolio and its second collaboration with Marriott International. The project reflects AVENEW's founding principles of thoughtful design, distinctive location selection and timeless quality. The World Islands form an archipelago of approximately 260 man-made islands located four kilometres off the Jumeirah coastline, an area the developer describes as entering a recognised phase of growth backed by renewed developer confidence, significant hospitality commitments and a fixed supply unlike any other in Dubai.
The Ritz-Carlton Residences will be located within the Hawaii Islands cluster at The World Islands. The masterplan introduces a curated collection of villas and two- and three-bedroom low-rise residences, designed as a private retreat offering island living within easy reach of the city for those seeking an exceptional standard of living. The collaboration with Marriott will bring The Ritz-Carlton's service philosophy and global reputation to every residence, aiming to combine exceptional design with world-renowned service and personalised experiences for future residents.
Rasha Hassan, Managing Partner of AVENEW Development, described The World Islands as a rare real estate opportunity, limited by design and internationally recognised, while continuing to evolve with every passing year. She said the company chose to make its debut on the island because of its long-term potential and because it gives AVENEW the canvas to build the kind of destination it was founded to create, adding that Marriott shares the company's commitment to excellence in shaping the future of ownership on the islands.

Jaidev Menezes, Regional Vice President of Mixed-Use Development for EMEA at Marriott International, said the collaboration brings sophisticated design and discerning service to a rare location, positioning the branded waterfront homes to set a new standard for a luxury island lifestyle. He added that the project is expected to reinforce the archipelago as a distinct and unparalleled destination within Dubai's evolving luxury property market.
Sales for the project are scheduled to commence in 2027, with further details expected to be revealed ahead of the sales launch. The announcement marks AVENEW's second partnership with Marriott, building on the developer's broader strategy of pairing distinctive locations with globally recognised hospitality brands across its Dubai portfolio.
The project is developed under a trademark licence: The Ritz-Carlton Residences Dubai, The World Islands are not owned, developed or sold by The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company or its affiliates. Prime Properties Holding Limited and AVENEW Real Estate Development LLC use The Ritz-Carlton trademarks under a licence from Marriott, which has not confirmed the accuracy of the statements made in the announcement.
