EPP has increased its equity interest in the joint venture that owns Poland’s M1 shopping centre portfolio to 59.4%.
The revised ownership structure brings RMB Investments and Advisory Proprietary Limited (RMBIA) into the venture as a new investor, alongside EPP and Redefine Europe.
The joint venture now has three shareholders. EPP holds a 59.4% stake, RMBIA owns 23.1%, and Redefine Europe retains a 17.5% interest. The changes simplify the shareholder structure and introduce RMBIA as a new partner.
EPP Chief Executive Officer Tomasz Trzósło said the increased stake reflects the company’s confidence in the potential of the shopping centres to generate higher value. He also welcomed RMBIA’s participation, noting that the new investor shares the partners’ view of the portfolio’s future opportunities.
The joint venture partners plan to focus on improving the performance and appeal of the nine M1 centres across Poland. Their priorities include refining tenant line-ups, expanding leisure offerings, modernising the properties and increasing gross leasable area.
Decisions concerning individual shopping centres will be guided by their long-term prospects. The partners have not specified individual project locations or disclosed the planned scale of modernisation and expansion in the announcement.

The M1 centres have recently undergone changes to their tenant mix and overall offerings. These adjustments are intended to reinforce their position as shopping destinations for local communities.
The next phase of the joint venture’s plans combines tenant selection, leisure facilities and property improvements. The partners will assess individual locations based on their long-term potential as they consider how to refine the portfolio.
