Actor, singer, director and Kollywood mainstay Dhanush has built a career spanning more than 50 films alongside a personal fortune estimated at around ₹230 crore. At the centre of that wealth is a ₹150 crore architectural marvel in one of Chennai's most elite neighbourhoods, Poes Garden, located near the residence of his former father-in-law, superstar Rajinikanth.
A Mansion Symbolising His Rise
Dhanush moved into the four-storey Poes Garden bungalow in 2023, a property that has come to symbolise his journey from modest beginnings to one of South Indian cinema's most bankable stars.
When public attention around the house's price tag grew, Dhanush addressed it directly, saying that if he had known buying a house in Poes Garden would become such a talking point, he would have simply bought a small apartment instead, questioning why someone born with little should be expected to live modestly forever.
Before moving into the Poes Garden property, Dhanush lived in Alwarpet, in a neighbourhood known for high-end dining spots and previously home to stars including Kamal Haasan; that Alwarpet bungalow is separately valued at around ₹18 crore.

Dhanush's car collection includes a Rolls Royce Ghost worth around ₹7 crore, a Bentley Continental Flying Spur priced at approximately ₹3.40 crore, a Ford Mustang GT worth ₹75 lakh capable of going 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, and a Jaguar XE valued at around ₹44.98 lakh. Additional reports also list an Audi as part of his fleet.
Beyond Acting: Business and Brand Value
Dhanush co-founded Wunderbar Films, a Chennai-based production and distribution company, in 2010, which has produced and distributed several Tamil films over the years.
He has also endorsed major brands including 7Up and OLX, adding to his income streams beyond acting and direction. Together, his film career, production business and brand endorsements have combined to build the fortune now reflected in his Poes Garden home and luxury car collection.
