L&T Wins Major Rajasthan Orders to Transform Rural Water Infrastructure

Larsen & Toubro (L&T), India’s engineering powerhouse, has secured “significant” contracts from the Rajasthan government to revolutionize water supply systems across the state. Under the ambitious Jal Jeevan Mission, L&T will design and construct advanced water infrastructure that will empower over 2,500 villages and benefit thousands of families.

Empowering Rajasthan’s Villages with Clean Water

L&T’s water and effluent treatment business has been awarded major EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) orders by the Public Health Engineering Department of Rajasthan. These projects, valued between ₹1,000 crore and ₹2,500 crore, are set to bring transformative change to the state’s rural landscape.

Project Highlights

• Rajasthan Rural Water Supply and Fluorosis Mitigation Project (Phase II, Package-1):
  • Supply and installation of 5,251 km of transmission and distribution pipelines
  • Construction of 38 ground-level reservoirs (total capacity: 40 ML)
  • 20 pump houses and 132 overhead service reservoirs (total capacity: 25 ML)
  • Project to serve 285 villages and the towns of Surajgarh and Udaipurwati in Jhunjhunu district
• Kekri-Sarwar Water Supply System, Ajmer District:
  • Strengthening and rehabilitation of the water supply system
  • Supply and installation of 43 km of transmission pipelines
