Bollywood actors Shraddha Kapoor and Shakti Kapoor have leased their nearly 1,050 sq ft furnished apartment in Mumbai's Mahalaxmi to Akshat Khetan for a monthly rent of ₹2.5 lakh.
The leave and licence agreement was registered on 26 June 2026, with a security deposit of ₹7.5 lakh. The property is located in Piramal Mahalaxmi South Tower on G B Sakpal Marg and San Guruji Marg, Mahalaxmi East, according to documents accessed by CRE Matrix.
The three-year agreement carries a structured annual escalation:
The apartment is fully furnished, including a sofa, chairs, cupboards, four air-conditioners, water purifier, refrigerator, washing machine, gas stove, hob, chimney, dining table and other furniture and appliances.
Maintenance charges, rates, taxes and non-occupancy charges are borne by the licensors. Electricity charges are paid directly by the tenant based on consumption.

The Mahalaxmi apartment was purchased by Shraddha Kapoor and Shakti Kapoor for ₹6.24 crore in January 2025, according to documents accessed by Zapkey.
The property was acquired from Glyder Buildcon Realtors Private Limited at around ₹59,875 per sq ft on a carpet area of 1,042.73 sq ft including two balconies.
The lease now generates rental income on an asset acquired less than 18 months ago a straightforward investment play in a premium Mumbai residential building.

The Mahalaxmi lease fits a pattern of active rental management across Shraddha Kapoor's Mumbai property portfolio:
The Mahalaxmi transaction represents the leasing rather than occupancy side of that activity generating income from a recently purchased asset while continuing to rent a larger home in Juhu.
For a residential property investor in Mumbai, the combination of a premium purchase at Piramal Mahalaxmi and a stable, documented three-year lease at ₹2.5 lakh per month is a clean income yield play on one of the city's most established high-end addresses.
