VeloBank, which finalised the acquisition of Citi Handlowy's retail banking operations in Poland in June, has extended its lease for office space in the Q22 tower in Warsaw.

The owner of the property, a fund from the Invesco Real Estate group, was advised by CBRE, which is also responsible for the building's management and leasing.

A 1,068 sqm private banking branch at Q22

VeloBank's Warsaw office occupies 1,068 sqm in the Q22 building. The space houses a private banking branch, a highly representative area where affluent clients are served.

VeloBank, continuing the operations of the acquired retail segment of Citi Handlowy, has decided to remain in this location for the coming years.

What VeloBank and Invesco Real Estate say

Luiza Lisowska, Director of the Administration Department at VeloBank, said continuing the lease at Q22 was a natural decision, allowing the bank to maintain continuity of service for clients in a location they have known and valued for years, while giving its team a comfortable, modern working environment that aligns with the needs of VeloBank's clients and the character of the brand.

Anna Szelc, Senior Director representing Invesco Real Estate, said the company was pleased VeloBank had decided to extend its lease and remain at Q22, describing it as proof that its policy of active asset management and maintaining high building standards enables long-term relationships with demanding tenants from the financial sector.

The building owner was represented in the process by Radosław Pawlak and Karol Muszyński from CBRE.

Muszyński, Associate Director at CBRE, said VeloBank's decision to remain at Q22 following the Citi Handlowy acquisition demonstrates that prime office buildings provide financial institutions with stability during periods of operational change and thanked both parties for negotiations that resulted in a long-term agreement aligned with both the bank's strategy and Invesco Real Estate's investment objectives.
