YIT Czechia has launched Kattila Kamýk, a residential development in the Praha 12 district of Prague.
Construction began in February 2026, and completion is expected in autumn 2028.
The ten-storey building is being developed on the site of a former heating substation belonging to Pražská teplárenská.
The former facility has been replaced by a modernised installation. Designed by Hlaváček a partner, the project features Scandinavian-style architecture and a façade with climbing plants.
The development will comprise 73 apartments, with layouts ranging from studios to four-room units.
Apartment sizes will range from 30 to 100 square metres, giving prospective residents several options.
Every apartment will include a balcony, while units on the upper floors will feature terraces with views.
The building will also provide underground and above-ground parking distributed across three floors, along with storage facilities.
A commercial unit on the ground floor will be suitable for a pharmacy or small shop. Studios and two-room apartments will be delivered with fitted kitchens that include appliances.
A rooftop community garden will form part of the residential development.
The garden will be divided into functional zones and include a pergola terrace, an outdoor kitchen for barbecuing, a children's sandpit and planted greenery.
The project will incorporate several energy-saving and environmental features.
These include photovoltaic panels, heat recovery ventilation, a rainwater tank for irrigation and infrastructure for electric vehicle charging.
The building is planned as a low-energy development.
Dana Bartoňová, sales director at YIT Czechia, said the company expects the project to appeal to individuals, couples and families seeking comfortable urban living in a quiet, green location.
She also highlighted the rooftop garden as an additional feature for residents.
