BIG Poland will open its BIG Olkusz retail park on 22 October 2026.

 Developed in cooperation with BOIG The Blue Ocean Investment Group, the project covers 13,500 square metres of gross leasable area (GLA) and expands the company's retail portfolio in Poland.

The new retail park is located at Sławkowska and Centralna streets in Olkusz, with direct access from national road DK94. 

The development is designed to serve everyday shopping needs through a mix of grocery retail, fashion, other retail categories and services.

<h2>Kaufland and HalfPrice Anchor BIG Olkusz</h2>

Kaufland will serve as the grocery anchor tenant, occupying approximately 4,500 square metres. A two-level HalfPrice store will cover around 2,260 square metres.

The tenant mix also includes fashion retailers, everyday shopping options and services. The development will provide approximately 350 parking spaces for customers, supporting access to the retail park.

<h2>BIG Poland Expands Its Retail Portfolio</h2>

Following the opening, BIG Poland's operating portfolio will comprise 14 retail parks with approximately 271,500 square metres of GLA across Poland.

The company follows a growth strategy combining acquisitions of operating assets, new developments and extensions of existing properties.

 Its cooperation with local developers allows it to combine local market knowledge and development expertise with its own capital and retailer relationships.

BIG Poland has operated in the Polish market since 2022. The company also has three projects in preparation in Piła, Konstantynów Łódzki and Bolesławiec.

CapMan Real Estate and Danish pension company AP Pension have acquired Hotel Scandic Webers in Copenhagen from Jeudan, Denmark's largest listed real estate and services company.

 The acquisition was made through CapMan Nordic Real Estate IV as part of a 50/50 joint venture between the two investors.

The transaction adds a second property to the joint venture's Copenhagen hotel portfolio, following its recent acquisition of Hotel Crowne Plaza Copenhagen.

 The purchase price has not been disclosed, and final closing remains subject to European Commission approval of the merger control process between AP Pension and CapMan.

<h2>Hotel Scandic Webers Has 152 Rooms</h2>

Hotel Scandic Webers is a three- to four-star hotel covering approximately 7,400 square metres, with 152 rooms.

 It is located in central Copenhagen, close to Copenhagen Central Station, Tivoli Gardens and the Meatpacking District.

The property's city-centre location complements the joint venture's recent investment in Crowne Plaza Copenhagen. Together, the hotels provide exposure to different segments of the city's hospitality market.

<h2>Comprehensive Hotel Refurbishment Planned</h2>

The joint venture plans a comprehensive refurbishment programme in cooperation with hotel operator Scandic.

 The work aims to strengthen the property's position in Copenhagen's city-centre hotel market, improve the guest experience and support its long-term competitiveness.

Mads Diderichsen, Investment Director at CapMan Real Estate, said the acquisition provides opportunities for active asset management and future value creation. He added that the investors look forward to working with Scandic to realise the hotel's potential.

Czech investment group AKIPIA has joined the Roma Tower project in central Warsaw, developed by BBI Development and Liebrecht & wooD. The partnership strengthens the project's investor consortium as the developers advance plans for the 170-metre residential tower.

Roma Tower is designed as an ultra-luxury branded residence, with interiors by Italian design studio Pininfarina. The development will combine private apartments with recreational facilities and wellness amenities in a central Warsaw location.

<h2>Roma Tower to Feature 357 Apartments</h2>

The planned tower will comprise 48 above-ground floors and six basement levels, with a total of 357 apartments. Its amenities will include a private cinema, recreational areas and a wellness zone featuring a 25-metre swimming pool.

The project is located at the junction of Nowogrodzka and Emilii Plater streets in central Warsaw. Planning work for the site began in 2011, and BBI Development has been involved in the project since that time.

<h2>AKIPIA Strengthens the Investor Consortium</h2>

AKIPIA's entry adds a Czech investment group to the consortium behind Roma Tower. The project is being developed jointly by AKIPIA, BBI Development, Liebrecht & wooD and Fundacja Pro Bonum.

Michał Skotnicki, president of the management board of BBI Development, said AKIPIA shares the project's vision and ambition. He described the partnership as an important moment for Roma Tower and another step towards delivering the development.

The development's architectural design was prepared by the Juvenes-Projekt team led by Jacek Świderski. Pininfarina is responsible for the interior design concept associated with the branded residence offering.

Ajdan Real Estate Development Company has unveiled Khobar Pier, a SAR5.6 billion ($1.5 billion) coastal destination planned for the Arabian Gulf. 

The project aims to strengthen Al Khobar's position as a waterfront tourism and lifestyle destination as Saudi Arabia expands its tourism and leisure sector.

The development is being launched in partnership with Ashraq Development, the Tourism Development Fund and Aljazira Capital.

Khobar Pier will cover 671,000 square metres and feature an 850-metre waterfront, with approximately 305,000 square metres of developed area.

 The planned destination will include 689 residential units, 690 hotel rooms and 33,000 square metres of commercial space.

The development will feature internationally branded hotels and resorts, luxury residences and villas, restaurants, retail outlets, green spaces, sports facilities and water-based activities.

 This mix is intended to provide visitors with accommodation, dining, entertainment and recreation in one location.

<h2>Waterfront Design at the Centre of the Project</h2>

Water will play a central role in the destination's design. Interconnected waterways will surround a central island, while an elevated hill will offer views across the Arabian Gulf.
