Azizi Hospitality is a key unit of UAE-based Azizi Developments. The company has announced that work is moving at a steady pace on its five-star hotel.
The hotel is located in Azizi Riviera, Meydan. It is on track for opening in mid-2028.
The hotel is part of Azizi Hospitality's planned expansion across the UAE. The company has previously announced plans to invest AED75 billion, or $20.4 billion.
This covers 151 hotels, mainly in Dubai. The portfolio is expected to comprise about 60,000 rooms. It is expected to create more than 75,000 jobs.
Construction Progress
Work at the Azizi Riviera site has begun with excavation and foundation works. Main structural construction, facade installation, and interior fit-out will follow.
The hotel sits within the amenity-rich Azizi Riviera community. It is planned to include accommodation, restaurants, wellness and leisure facilities, a children's club, and a gym.
Testing the Guest Experience
Azizi Hospitality is also developing a full-scale mock-up. This includes a guest room, corridor, and lift lobby.
The mock-up is designed to test layouts, materials, and design elements. These will then be incorporated across the hotel.
The vision guides both the architecture and guest experience, from the rooms to the Italian and Asian restaurants, wellness facilities, kids' club, gym, and landscaped surroundings.

What the Leadership Said
Farhad Azizi is Group CEO. He said great hospitality is not measured in room counts. He explained it is measured in whether guests leave wanting to return.
He added that every detail is designed around that test. This includes elements most guests feel but never consciously notice, such as how a space flows or how light falls. He said this is the standard the company intends to bring to every property it builds.
Saurabh Bakshi is CEO of Azizi Hospitality. He said a hotel is made long before the first guest arrives. He explained this happens through decisions most people never see.
He said the company is shaping the experience, operations, and finer details alongside the construction itself. He said the mock-up room allows the team to step into the guest experience early.
This lets them test and refine choices before reaching the final stages.

What Comes Next
The coming phases will focus on the main structural build. This will be followed by mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Interior fit-out will come next, along with furniture, fittings, and equipment. The final stages will move into readying the property for operation.
