CapMan Real Estate and Danish pension company AP Pension have acquired Hotel Scandic Webers in Copenhagen from Jeudan, Denmark's largest listed real estate and services company.
The acquisition was made through CapMan Nordic Real Estate IV as part of a 50/50 joint venture between the two investors.
The transaction adds a second property to the joint venture's Copenhagen hotel portfolio, following its recent acquisition of Hotel Crowne Plaza Copenhagen.
The purchase price has not been disclosed, and final closing remains subject to European Commission approval of the merger control process between AP Pension and CapMan.
Hotel Scandic Webers is a three- to four-star hotel covering approximately 7,400 square metres, with 152 rooms.
It is located in central Copenhagen, close to Copenhagen Central Station, Tivoli Gardens and the Meatpacking District.
The property's city-centre location complements the joint venture's recent investment in Crowne Plaza Copenhagen. Together, the hotels provide exposure to different segments of the city's hospitality market.
The joint venture plans a comprehensive refurbishment programme in cooperation with hotel operator Scandic.
The work aims to strengthen the property's position in Copenhagen's city-centre hotel market, improve the guest experience and support its long-term competitiveness.
Mads Diderichsen, Investment Director at CapMan Real Estate, said the acquisition provides opportunities for active asset management and future value creation. He added that the investors look forward to working with Scandic to realise the hotel's potential.
Mikkel Lieberkind, Real Estate Investment Director at AP Pension, said the acquisition strengthens the company's exposure to a market supported by tourism, business travel and limited new hotel supply.
The joint venture aims to enhance the property and create long-term value for its customers.
The acquisition follows the partners' recent purchase of Crowne Plaza Copenhagen and reflects their strategy of building a hotel portfolio with properties serving different customer segments.

Per W. Hallgren, CEO of Jeudan, said the sale reflects the company's ongoing evaluation of its properties against its strategic priorities and commercial opportunities. He described the transaction as a solution that provides a foundation for the hotel's continued development.
The joint venture received advice from Poul Schmith, Sweco, PwC, Bruun & Hjejle, Accura, EKJ and Colliers. Cushman & Wakefield | RED brokered the sale on behalf of Jeudan.
