Cordia Romania, a member of Futureal Group, has appointed Concelex as general contractor for Centropolitan, its residential development under construction near Alba Iulia Square in Bucharest.
The appointment continues a partnership that began with PARCULUI20, a 485-apartment scheme delivered by the same pairing between 2019 and 2023 in the Expoziției area.
Construction began earlier in 2026, marked by a foundation stone ceremony in June. Completion is targeted for the second half of 2028.

Mauricio Mesa Gomez, Chairman of the Board at Cordia Romania and Spain, said Centropolitan marks the beginning of a new chapter for Cordia in Romania and embodies the standards that will define all of its future investments in the market.
He described partnering again with Concelex as the natural choice, citing the previous collaboration's exceptional execution capabilities and a shared culture of accountability and long-term commitment to quality.
Cătălin Vișan, Deputy CEO of Concelex, said the appointment confirms the trust in its execution capabilities built through the full delivery of PARCULUI20.
Concelex reported a turnover of RON 1.4 billion in 2025 and currently manages approximately 100 active construction sites across Romania a scale of operation that gives it the bench strength to absorb a two-year delivery programme without compromising other commitments.

The 20% sales rate and €13 million in transactions since launch, with 80% going to end-users rather than investors, tells a specific story about Centropolitan's buyer profile.
Near Alba Iulia Square, one of Bucharest's more established central locations, the project is pulling buyers who intend to live there rather than hold it as an investment asset.
That end-user dominance at the early sales stage is a more stable commercial foundation than investor-led demand, which can evaporate quickly if market sentiment shifts.
For Cordia, appointing a proven contractor on a high-end product in a well-located part of the Romanian capital is a disciplined execution of a strategy the company has been building toward since its entry into the Bucharest market.
