DAMAC Properties has said its construction pipeline in Dubai has remained on schedule despite recent global supply chain challenges, supported by the UAE's logistics infrastructure and alternative shipping routes. The update came as the developer celebrated the topping out of Harbour Lights, its luxury waterfront residential tower in Dubai Maritime City, which remains on course for handover in 2027.
According to Mohammed Tahaineh, Chief Project Officer at DAMAC Properties, the company experienced no significant disruption to project timelines despite concerns over shipping delays and rising material costs. He said the availability of alternative logistics routes through Khor Fakkan and Fujairah ports, combined with effective coordination between developers and suppliers, helped maintain construction progress across the company's developments.
The topping-out ceremony marks the completion of the tower's superstructure, with the project now moving into internal and external finishing works. Harbour Lights is a luxury residential development featuring 52 residential floors above a five-level podium. Once completed, the project will offer 294 apartments along with retail space, leisure amenities, an infinity pool, fitness facilities and panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf and Dubai skyline. The tower is expected to be handed over in 2027.
Located in Dubai Maritime City, Harbour Lights forms part of DAMAC's expanding luxury residential portfolio. The waterfront location provides residents with connectivity to key destinations including Downtown Dubai, Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa, Dubai Creek and La Mer Beach, making it one of the city's emerging premium residential districts.
DAMAC believes demand for premium residential properties in Dubai remains resilient despite broader global economic uncertainties. The developer said Dubai continues to offer competitive pricing compared with other major international cities while maintaining high construction quality, making the emirate attractive to both investors and end-users. Company officials also noted that demand remains particularly strong for luxury developments in prime waterfront locations.
Recent industry assessments have also indicated that UAE developers have largely kept projects on schedule despite higher imported material costs. Fixed-price construction contracts, diversified sourcing strategies and sufficient inventory have helped developers manage rising costs without causing widespread delays to ongoing developments.
The latest construction milestone demonstrates how developers in the UAE have adapted to evolving supply chain conditions without significantly affecting delivery schedules. With continued government support, diversified logistics routes and disciplined project management, DAMAC has maintained progress across its construction pipeline while advancing one of Dubai Maritime City's landmark waterfront developments. Dubai Maritime City continues to attract new residential investment, reinforcing Dubai's position as a leading destination for luxury real estate and large-scale waterfront development.
