
Deka Immobilien has acquired a prime logistics property in Vantaa, near Helsinki Airport, Finland. The asset will be added to the portfolio of the Deka-ImmobilienEuropa open-ended real estate fund.
The seller is an institutional investor. The purchase price has not been disclosed by the parties.
Completed in 2022, the logistics property provides around 33,000 square metres of lettable space. It also has 167 parking spaces, including 24 spaces equipped with electric vehicle charging points.
The property is fully leased on a long-term basis to Barona Varastopalvelut Oy, a Finnish third-party logistics provider. The company uses the facility as its central logistics hub.
The building has been designed for modern logistics operations. It has approximately 12 metres of clear height, 37 loading docks and large loading and manoeuvring areas.

The property is located in the Aviapolis logistics cluster at Turvalaaksonkuja 4 in Vantaa. The hub is next to Helsinki Airport and is connected to Ring Road III and Finland's national motorway network.
The location provides access to major transport routes and supports air freight, distribution and last-mile logistics activity. Around one-third of Finland's population can be reached within an hour by road.

The logistics property also has several sustainability features. It includes solar photovoltaic panels and a geothermal system for temperature control.
The building has received a BREEAM International New Construction rating of Excellent and an EPC rating of A. These features add to the property's appeal as a modern logistics asset with long-term operational and environmental credentials.
Deka Immobilien said the acquisition gives its open-ended fund a modern core logistics property in a prime location and is expected to generate stable long-term income for investors.
