
Dubai Holding has awarded an AED5 billion construction contract, worth approximately $1.36 billion.
The contract covers the delivery of the group's new headquarters and Jumeirah Residences Emirates Towers. It has gone to China State Construction Engineering Corporation Middle East (CSCEC ME).
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Holding, witnessed the signing of the contract.
This is the single largest contract Dubai Holding has awarded to date. It reflects the scale of capital the group continues to deploy into projects supporting Dubai's long-term growth.

The new headquarters is set to become one of Dubai's most distinctive corporate landmarks. It will bring the group's businesses together in a single workplace, built around collaboration, sustainability and employee wellbeing.
It is scheduled to open in 2029.
The building has been designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM). It features a distinctive circular form.
The design is organised around a central open-air atrium and a landscaped courtyard, with expansive terraces intended to encourage collaboration.
Employee wellbeing, sustainability and technology are central to the design, with ambitions to meet leading international sustainability and wellbeing standards.
The contract award will also advance the delivery of Jumeirah Residences Emirates Towers.
This is a flagship residential development by Meraas, in the same location as the new headquarters. It comprises 754 branded residences across two towers. Handover is scheduled for 2030.

Sheikh Ahmed said Dubai's success has been built on a clear vision, the confidence to invest with purpose, and the discipline to turn ambition into progress.
He noted that Dubai Holding has contributed to the emirate's transformation for more than two decades, enabling economic activity equivalent to 30 per cent of Dubai's GDP.
Amit Kaushal, Group Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Holding, said the commitment reflects the scale at which the group continues to invest for the future.
He described the new headquarters as the next phase in Dubai Holding's evolution, and said Jumeirah Residences Emirates Towers adds further strength to the group's real estate portfolio.
Tian Sanchuan, Chairman of CSCEC ME, said the company was honoured to be awarded these landmark projects, reflecting mutual trust between the two organisations.
He credited Dubai's business environment for making CSCEC ME's journey in the city possible.
The contractor has operated in the UAE since 2003, delivering more than 110 large-scale projects across the Gulf, spanning residential, commercial, hospitality and infrastructure.
