IHG Hotel Indigo branded residences Egypt Mountain View Ras El Hekma global debut

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement with Mountain View for Development and Real Estate Investment to launch The Residences at Hotel Indigo Mountain View Ras El Hekma, marking the global debut of Hotel Indigo branded residences.

The signing positions Ras El Hekma as the location where one of IHG's most distinctive brands extends beyond hospitality into the residential sector for the first time anywhere in the world.

What the Development Will Offer

The residential component will comprise 280 units across a range of configurations:

  • Studios
  • One-, two- and three-bedroom apartments
  • Access to all amenities and hospitality-led services within Mountain View's master-planned beachfront destination
  • Sits alongside the previously announced 100-key Hotel Indigo Mountain View Ras El Hekma hotel

The combined hotel and residences will form part of Mountain View's broader vision for Ras El Hekma as an integrated, year-round coastal destination bringing together residential living, hospitality, entertainment and lifestyle experiences.

What IHG Says About the Milestone

Haitham Mattar, Managing Director for India, Middle East and Africa at IHG Hotels & Resorts, described the signing as an important milestone for both IHG and Hotel Indigo globally.

He said the launch reflects how IHG's brands continue to evolve beyond traditional hospitality to meet changing guest and owner expectations, combining Hotel Indigo's individuality and neighbourhood character with IHG's trusted service and quality in one of Egypt's most exciting destinations.

Mountain View's Coastal Ambition

Amr Soliman, Founder and Executive Chairman of Mountain View, framed the agreement as a strategic milestone in the company's journey to develop integrated destinations that redefine coastal living in Egypt.

He said the project is not simply delivering residential units but creating lifestyle-driven communities that offer residents a complete experience quality design, an extensive range of services and a genuine connection to the surrounding destination.

Soliman also pointed to the deal as evidence of international confidence in Mountain View's vision and in Ras El Hekma's potential to become a vibrant, integrated, year-round coastal destination.

For IHG, the Egyptian North Coast provides the setting for what is ultimately a brand extension play: testing whether Hotel Indigo's identity rooted in neighbourhood storytelling and design-led distinctiveness can translate into a residential product that buyers will pay a premium to live in permanently, not just visit.
