NBCC (India) Limited, the Navratna public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, has been awarded the responsibility of constructing a new Andhra Pradesh Bhavan in New Delhi. The project will be executed on behalf of the Government of Andhra Pradesh at an estimated cost of ₹105.5 crore and is intended to strengthen the state's administrative infrastructure in the national capital.
According to the announcement, the proposed development will have a built-up area of approximately 2.49 lakh square feet. The facility is being planned as a modern administrative and hospitality complex that will cater to state officials, visiting dignitaries and government delegations while supporting official activities in Delhi.
The project will be delivered on a turnkey basis, with NBCC responsible for the complete execution cycle. This includes planning, architectural design, engineering, procurement, construction and project management until the final handover of the building.
NBCC has extensive experience in executing public infrastructure projects across India through its Project Management Consultancy (PMC), Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC), and real estate divisions. The company has delivered numerous government buildings, institutional projects and redevelopment initiatives for central and state government agencies.
The new Andhra Pradesh Bhavan is expected to function as the state's principal administrative centre in New Delhi. Besides accommodating government offices, the complex will also provide hospitality facilities for ministers, senior officials and other authorised visitors from Andhra Pradesh.
The redevelopment reflects the state's efforts to establish a contemporary facility that aligns with present-day administrative requirements while improving the experience for officials conducting government business in the capital.
The Andhra Pradesh Bhavan project further expands NBCC's portfolio of government infrastructure assignments. As a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise, the company regularly undertakes projects for ministries, public institutions and state governments across India through its project management expertise.
The agreement also highlights the continued role of specialised public sector enterprises in delivering large government infrastructure projects. Once completed, the new Andhra Pradesh Bhavan is expected to provide upgraded administrative space and improved accommodation facilities, supporting the state's official presence in New Delhi through a purpose-built and modern complex.
