NLMC’s proposed e-auction of HIL India’s 5.119-acre land parcel in Najafgarh Industrial Area, New Delhi.

The National Land Monetisation Corporation (NLMC) has initiated the e-auction of a 5.119-acre land parcel owned by HIL (India) in Delhi, with a reserve price of ₹829.69 crore, as part of efforts to monetise surplus public sector assets.

The property is located in the Najafgarh Industrial Area along Rohtak Road, Shivaji Marg.

The proposed sale will be conducted through an online auction, with the highest bid determining the final sale price.

NLMC organised a pre-bid meeting in New Delhi on Tuesday to familiarise prospective participants with the property's location, development potential, applicable land-use provisions, eligibility criteria and auction terms.

The land parcel has approximately 140 metres of road frontage and is connected to the Delhi Metro's Green Line.

It offers development potential with a Floor Space Index (FSI) of up to 400 under applicable Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) provisions, subject to statutory conditions and requisite approvals.

NLMC, HIL officials outline monetisation initiative

NLMC Chief Executive Officer Rohan Chand Thakur said the government has prioritised the monetisation of surplus and underutilised land assets held by Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs).

He said the auction was the third publicly advertised e-auction by NLMC within the last two months.

Thakur said the corporation aims to unlock the economic value of public assets through transparent, structured and competitive processes while facilitating their productive utilisation.

He added that the HIL land parcel, given its location and development potential, presents an opportunity for eligible participants to explore its future utilisation.

The pre-bid meeting was intended to ensure clarity and informed participation in the bidding process.

HIL (India) Chairman and Managing Director Kuldeep Singh said the land being offered for outright sale represents a significant asset of the company.

He said the monetisation initiative seeks to facilitate productive utilisation of the property while providing prospective developers and eligible bidders an opportunity to participate in its future development.

NLMC is a wholly owned government company under the administrative control of the Department of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Finance.
