In a remarkable move that has caught the attention of Mumbai’s real estate sector, cricketer Suryakumar Yadav, alongside his wife Devisha Yadav, has made a significant investment. The dynamic duo has purchased two luxurious apartments in the prestigious Godrej Sky Terraces located in the thriving Deonar area of Mumbai. The purchase, totaling ₹21.1 crore, was finalized and registered on March 21, 2025, as revealed by the property documents accessed from the Inspector General of Registration (IGR) website. The two apartments, positioned on consecutive floors, boast an impressive combined carpet area of 4,222.7 square feet and a total built-up area of over 4,568 square feet. Along with the spacious living areas, the Yadavs also secured six designated car parking spaces, a coveted feature in the bustling city of Mumbai. The transaction also saw a stamp duty of ₹1.26 crore and a registration fee of ₹30,000. Located in the heart of Deonar, an eastern Mumbai neighborhood adjacent to Chembur, this residential project is set amidst an area of 1.05 acres. The Godrej Sky Terraces is home to luxury units with configurations like 3 BHK and 4 BHK, and it has become one of the most sought-after addresses in Mumbai. Between March 2024 and February 2025, the project witnessed a total of 25 sale registrations, amassing a cumulative value of ₹202 crore, with the average property price in the vicinity being ₹52,433 per square foot. Deonar’s connectivity to key transportation hubs like the Chembur railway station, Mumbai Monorail, and major highways such as the Eastern Express Highway and Sion-Panvel Expressway makes it an ideal location for luxury living. This acquisition by the cricketer adds to the growing list of high-profile property transactions in Mumbai’s real estate landscape. Earlier this year, former Indian cricketer Zaheer Khan and his family made headlines with their purchase of a luxury apartment in Mumbai’s Elphinstone Road area for ₹11 crore. Additionally, Rohit Sharma, another celebrated cricketer, has also been active in the real estate market recently, renting out his Lower Parel property for ₹2.6 lakh per month. The Godrej Sky Terraces is not just a luxury home but also a symbol of how cricketers like Suryakumar Yadav are making significant strides in Mumbai's high-end property market.
