Yas Island is set for a major tourism and hospitality expansion. Miral will invest more than Dh12 billion over the next five years to develop new attractions and upgrade existing destinations.
The investment will cover tourism, entertainment and hospitality projects.
It will include new immersive rides and experiences, along with improvements to existing theme parks and attractions.
The programme is separate from the previously announced Disney project.
Miral plans to expand Yas Island’s existing leisure and entertainment offering. The programme will introduce new experiences aimed at meeting changing visitor demand.
The company will also add hotel rooms and upgrade its accommodation portfolio.
The overall hotel room count on Yas Island is expected to rise by around 30% to 35% over the next five years, Gulf News reported.
Miral has not yet disclosed the number of new attractions, hotel rooms or individual projects planned under the Dh12 billion programme.

The investment comes as Yas Island continues to record strong tourism activity. Hotel occupancy reached 92% in August, according to Miral.
India remains an important international market for Yas Island.
Miral said it welcomed around 1 million visitors from India in 2025, with visitor numbers growing by about 20% to 25% year on year.
The island benefits from its proximity to Zayed International Airport and its concentration of major attractions.
Miral highlighted the presence of four theme parks and five museums within a relatively short distance.

The new investment is expected to strengthen Yas Island’s position as a major leisure and entertainment destination.
It will also support job creation and skills development in Abu Dhabi’s tourism sector.
Miral said the programme supports Abu Dhabi’s Tourism Strategy 2030 and the emirate’s wider plans to expand tourism and economic diversification.
The company expects the new developments to add capacity while improving the visitor experience.
