e& UAE, Core42 Scale Sovereign AI

e& UAE and Core42, a G42 company specialising in sovereign cloud, AI infrastructure and digital services, have announced a partnership to deliver Sovereign AI Compute, giving organisations in the UAE and international markets immediate and secure access to in-country AI infrastructure. The GPU Sovereign AI Compute platform marks the first joint offering under a broader global partnership, which also covers collaborative approaches to safeguarding critical AI services and national digital continuity across the UAE.

How the Platform Works

The offering combines Core42's Sovereign AI Cloud with e& UAE's national-scale digital infrastructure, secure connectivity, local customer relationships and professional services, creating an integrated platform that lets organisations move from AI strategy to production deployment under a unified commercial and operational framework. The service is designed to keep sensitive workloads and data within the UAE while giving customers a faster path to build, train, fine-tune, infer and deploy AI at scale.

  • Platform name: Sovereign AI Compute
  • Partners: e& UAE and Core42 (a G42 company)
  • Data residency: fully in-country within the UAE
  • Target sectors: government, healthcare, financial services, energy, education, retail, manufacturing, industrial operations
  • Related product: GPU Connect, combining GPU capability with e& UAE connectivity

The Problem It's Solving

As AI adoption accelerates, many UAE enterprises face growing operational barriers to deployment: accessing in-country GPU infrastructure at scale remains difficult, traditional cloud environments may lack sufficient local capacity, and on-premises deployments often require significant capital investment and lengthy implementation timelines.

Leadership's Perspective

Esam Mahmoud, Senior Vice President of SMB Sales and Marketing at e& UAE, said the collaboration gives UAE enterprises and government entities a simpler, faster and more secure way to access sovereign GPU infrastructure and operationalise AI at scale, supporting the UAE's national agentic AI agenda. He said the platform's value lies not only in AI compute but in the combination of infrastructure, private connectivity, local support and a practical route to production.

Jaafar Al Hashmi, VP of Government Relations and Market Development at Core42, said AI deployment at scale requires infrastructure that can operate securely, compliantly and with real-world resilience. He said the partnership extends sovereign AI from foundational infrastructure into an operational capability, integrating compute, connectivity and implementation into a single deployment-ready framework.

Supporting the UAE's AI Strategy

The partnership builds on the UAE National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031, which aims to embed agentic AI across government operations, healthcare, finance, mobility and digital infrastructure to improve efficiency and drive economic diversification. Core42's broader work also includes the Signature National Disaster Recovery Cloud (NDRC), a sovereign infrastructure solution designed to help governments and regulated industries maintain operational continuity during national-scale disruptions.

What Customers Get

For customers, the platform offers faster time to value for AI projects, no capital expenditure requirement, a competitive cost model with zero egress fees and full compliance with sovereignty requirements through in-country data residency. Customers can access the service through their e& UAE account managers or by submitting a request through the e& UAE website.
