The Jodhpur-Pali-Marwar Industrial Area (JPMIA) in Rajasthan has received in-principle approval for a railway siding, while allotments have begun for 30 industrial and commercial plots.
The plots are available at a base rate of Rs 4,000 per square metre, excluding applicable charges. The development is part of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) project.
The Rajasthan Industrial Corridors Development Corporation Ltd (RIDCO) is developing an integrated industrial township at Rohat in Pali district. The project falls under the JPMIA Special Investment Region.
RIDCO has opened 30 plots for direct allotment through a dedicated online portal.
These include 28 industrial plots and two plots for motels or restaurants. Applications will be accepted until 5 pm on October 31, 2026.
The allotment process marks progress in making industrial and commercial land available within the township. Several domestic and international companies have visited the area and expressed interest in establishing industrial units.
The Jodhpur division of North Western Railway has granted in-principle approval for a railway siding connecting Rohat station on the Luni-Marwar Junction section to a proposed multimodal logistics hub.
The logistics hub will cover 288 hectares within the industrial township.
The approval was issued under the Gati Shakti Cargo Terminal Policy following technical feasibility checks by the railway departments.
Stakeholder consultations are planned to explore private-sector participation in developing the logistics hub.
The proposed railway connection is an important infrastructure component for the industrial township and its planned logistics facilities.
RIDCO's board has approved a revised detailed layout plan for Phase I of the development. The plan includes dedicated industrial parks for textiles, pharmaceuticals, waste recycling, agro-processing and general industries.
These sector-specific parks define the intended use of industrial land within the township.
The board has also approved a preliminary layout for the northern section, allowing estimates to be prepared for infrastructure development under the engineering, procurement and construction model.
RIDCO has approved the allocation of approximately 4,000 square metres of land to Indraprastha Gas Ltd for a gas terminal or compressed natural gas station.
The allocated land is located along the highway in the northern part of Phase I.
The facility is intended to improve gas availability for industrial units. Separately, dedicated water and power infrastructure works are estimated to cost approximately Rs 400 crore.
The electricity infrastructure includes a 220-kV double-circuit transmission line connecting to the project site.
A vehicle underpass providing access to the industrial township has also become operational.

The availability of industrial plots, planned sector-specific parks and proposed logistics infrastructure creates a defined framework for industrial land development in the Jodhpur-Pali-Marwar region.
The two plots designated for motels or restaurants also provide space for commercial establishments within the township.
However, the reported developments do not establish any increase in surrounding property prices or residential demand.
