Meraas Begins Groundworks at Atélis at d3, Dubai

Meraas, a member of Dubai Holding Real Estate, has awarded the ground works contract for Atélis at d3. The contract went to International Foundation Group.

This marks the start of groundworks at the landmark residential project, located within the Dubai Design District.

The contract covers comprehensive site preparation. It includes excavation, soil improvement and dewatering. It also covers the design and construction of shoring and piling works.

These activities will prepare the site for the next phases of construction, Meraas said in a statement.

A 45-storey tower designed by SOM

Atélis at d3 is designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), the internationally renowned architectural practice.

It will introduce a distinctive 45-storey residential landmark. The design is characterised by elegant, petal-inspired balconies. These are inspired by flowers native to the UAE desert.

Apartments, penthouses and Dubai Creek views

The development will offer a collection of one- to four-bedroom apartments.

These are complemented by exclusive penthouses. Residents will have panoramic views of Dubai Creek and the city skyline.

Residents will also have access to three levels of premium lifestyle amenities, a company spokesman said. These include:

• Wellness facilities
• Co-working spaces
• Curated communal areas reflecting d3's creative character

Part of d3's evolution into a creative destination

Meraas said the contract award reflects continued progress across its development pipeline. It described the project as another step in the evolution of d3.

The district is positioning itself as a destination for creativity, innovation and contemporary urban living.

The spokesman said Atélis is a key component of Meraas' vision for Dubai Design District. It supports the district's transformation into a globally recognised destination.

There, design, creativity, entrepreneurship and contemporary residential living converge.

He added that the project builds on d3's reputation as the region's leading creative ecosystem, while introducing a new dimension of premium waterfront living.
