The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) will announce the results of its 2026 Mumbai housing lottery for 2,640 affordable homes on August 6 at 12 noon.
The computerized draw will take place at Rangsharda Auditorium in Bandra West and will also be streamed live on YouTube, allowing applicants to follow the results online.
The lottery covers homes across various income categories, including Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Low Income Group (LIG), Middle Income Group (MIG) and High Income Group (HIG).
The annual lottery remains one of Mumbai's most significant affordable housing initiatives, providing eligible homebuyers with an opportunity to purchase government-backed residential units at comparatively affordable prices.
The 2,640 housing units are spread across multiple locations in Mumbai and are offered under different housing schemes managed by MHADA.
Applicants who successfully completed the application process and paid the earnest money deposit will be eligible for the computerized draw.
Following the announcement of results, successful applicants will be required to complete document verification and other formalities as prescribed by MHADA.
The authority has stated that the draw process will be conducted digitally to ensure transparency and fairness throughout the allotment process.
