Lucky draws for the selection of beneficiaries for allotment of LIG flats at Indiramma Towers in the CURE area of Hyderabad have begun across four constituencies per day.
Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas personally participated in the draws at Vet Gardens in Nampally and Laxmiguda in the Rajendranagar constituency.
The process runs from Friday through to 31 August, covering four constituencies daily until all 8,000 flats across all assembly constituencies are allocated.
The lucky draw mechanism is structured to prioritise genuinely eligible poor families while building in a verification safety net:
In Rajendranagar, a small boy drew the lottery and his own family received an LIG Indiramma flat, as Minister Ponguleti noted during the event.
Each beneficiary selected through the lucky draw will receive:
Construction of the towers up to ten floors with lifts and necessary infrastructure will start soon. The target is to complete construction within one year.
The foundation stone for the Indiramma Towers project at KPHB Colony in Kukarpally was laid by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on 13 August.

Minister Ponguleti said the government's priority was not merely to accumulate money, but to ensure the poor have the opportunity to live with dignity even in areas where land is valued at Rs 100 crore, Rs 200 crore or even Rs 300 crore per acre.
The government is targeting one lakh houses in the first phase within GHMC limits. Land identification has already been completed in four more assembly constituencies, with applications for Indiramma houses in those areas accepted until 3 September.
Beneficiaries will also have the opportunity to personally monitor the construction of their homes.
