The Real Estate Registry has begun accepting applications for the initial registration of 1,491 real estate parcels across the Riyadh, Makkah, and Tabuk regions. Under a Council of Ministers decision and the provisions of the Real Estate Title Registration Law, the Real Estate General Authority (REGA) is responsible for overseeing title registration, marking the latest phase in the Kingdom's ongoing rollout of its national property registration system.
Which Areas Are Covered
In Riyadh, registration covers a number of properties in Afif Governorate, along with several neighborhoods in Rumah Governorate: Al Rabiyah, part of the Open Area District affiliated with Al Rawdah Municipality, and part of the Open Area District affiliated with Al Sharq Municipality. In Makkah, registration includes properties in Taif Governorate, covering parts of the Umm Al Rasf, Al Qarahin, and Umm Al Arad neighborhoods. The campaign also extends to a number of properties in Umluj Governorate in the Tabuk Region, spreading this registration phase across three distinct geographic areas of the Kingdom rather than concentrating it in a single region.

How Owners Can Register
Property owners within the designated areas must register their properties by Thursday, October 22, 2026. Owners can verify whether their property falls within the announced registration zones through the Real Estate Registry platform (www.rer.sa) or the Real Estate Registry mobile application, or by contacting the customer service center at 199002 for assistance with registration procedures and requirements. These multiple verification channels are designed to make it straightforward for owners to check their status without needing to visit a physical office.

Why Registering On Time Matters
The registry emphasized that completing registration within the specified period enables owners to benefit from Real Estate Registry services, carry out real estate transactions more efficiently, and avoid the penalties and fines stipulated under the Real Estate Title Registration Law. It added that the registry will continue expanding property registration across eligible areas as part of its efforts to enhance reliability and transparency in the sector by building a comprehensive national real estate database that serves as a unified reference for property information across the Kingdom. This continued expansion suggests further regions and neighborhoods are likely to be added to the registration program in subsequent phases.
What Registered Owners Receive
For every registered property unit, the registry will issue a unique Property Number and a Title Registration Deed, which includes the property's precise geographic location, ownership details, physical description, legal status, associated rights and obligations, and any subsequent real estate transactions. The registry noted that designated registration areas are determined according to a set of technical and regulatory criteria, with the National Real Estate Registration Services Company responsible for building and managing the Kingdom's real estate registry using geospatial data and an integrated digital platform, reinforcing the broader shift toward a fully digitized, geographically anchored property record system nationwide.
